CBRE

444 N Michigan Avenue, Chicago Retail Space

PROJECT

CBRE, the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm, wanted to say goodbye to their run-of-the-mill “for lease” signs. CBRE deemed it was time to put a new spin on the term “street art.” With success from the first KicksBySammy and CBRE collaboration, the company turned to KicksBySammy once again to create a custom design piece for their 444 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago retail space. With the caliber of luxury retailers on Michigan Avenue, what better way to capture people’s attention than by one of a kind artwork representative of the businesses and shoppers who frequent the location. Every space CBRE leases is unique and Samantha’s custom, hand-drawn art couldn’t be more on trend for this type of location.

CHALLENGE

KicksBySammy was challenged to create another “for lease” sign for 444 N Michigan Avenue that represented luxury and flagship real estate. The goal of the artwork was to target the middle market and create a simple, yet unique design for the space. Exploring different canvases to work and print on pushes our creative boundaries! The Michigan Avenue windows would be another creative “canvas” where KicksBySammy could show off creativity and attract people's attention.

RESULT

The Michigan Avenue windows are yet another creative “canvas” that visually communicates what the building represents through my – and hopefully the prospective leasee’s - eyes. People began to stop on Michigan Avenue to take pictures and post the "for lease" sign artwork. It definitely generated the building publicity!
