On Tuesday, July 31, Samantha returned to the sleepaway camp that instilled within her the ambition, motivation, and passion to become a self-made CEO and entrepreneur. For Sammy, this visit to Lake Bryn Mawr Camp meant more than simply reminiscing on childhood memories, as she spoke to the young women, or “Leaders in Training,” who sat in the same spot she once sat in eight years ago.

Samantha and the Lake Bryn Mawr Camp 2018 LITS with custom LBMC products
The 26 Leaders in Training, otherwise known as LITS to the LBMC community, participated in an active discussion with Samantha and KicksBySammy’s two interns, Caroline and Sarah, about the world of small businesses, internships, and how to be a successful, strong woman entering the workforce.
Samantha and the interns spoke with the girls about how their college experiences shaped the future of their careers and lessons they learned along the way. Going into their junior year of high school, the LITS are anxiously preparing for a time in their life in which the guidance of mentors is crucial. Samantha and the KBS interns offered their advice and wisdom to the LITS who were eager to learn more about the road that lies ahead of them.
The discussion lead to a Q&A session in which Sammy was inundated by the curious minds of the LITS, and gave them insight as to how KicksBySammy has become so successful, how to make the most of college experiences (regarding lessons learned inside and outside of the classroom), and how to effectively navigate the internship process.
As a relatable, young, and down-to-earth girl, the LITS loved speaking to Sammy and learning more about her experiences while bonding over custom LBMC products and designs.

Throughout the day, campers of all ages approached Samantha, referred to as simply “KicksBySammy,” with wide-eyes and an admiration for the fellow LBMC alumna who had come so far since wearing the same green and gold uniform years ago.
