KICKSBYSAMMY GIVES BACK

More about the foundation that KicksBySammy cares so deeply about.

By Caroline DeCarlo

July 11, 2018

Inspired by the memory of Samantha’s grandmother, Karen Magidson, KicksBySammy has committed to donating 10% of all KicksBySammy proceeds to the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer. The Lustgarten Foundation is dedicated to the advancement of the scientific and medical research related to the diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of pancreatic cancer.

The Lustgarten Foundation sets itself apart by putting 100% of every dollar donated directly towards the search for a cure in the form of research grants and an array of comprehensive patient education materials. Over 338,000 cases of pancreatic cancer have been reported worldwide, and the survival rate of this taxing disease over five years is stagnant at 8%. The Lustgarten Foundation aims to change this statistic through the funding and support of research, treatment, prevention, diagnosis, and by enhancing the pancreatic cancer dialogue among doctors and the public alike.

By donating a significant portion of their own sales to the Lustgarten Foundation each year, KicksBySammy is proud to be contributing to this revolutionary, life-changing mission.

Aside from the 10% donated with every non-corporate sale, KicksBySammy features their Purple Power collection each November, where exclusive items can be purchased with 50% of profits donated to the Lustgarten Foundation. November is considered to be Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, and during this time purple becomes a sign of awareness and support for those enduring this disease. This past spring, KicksBySammy expanded their contributions beyond the month of November by serving as a corporate sponsor for the Lustgarten Foundation’s 2018 Race 4 A Cure fundraiser event held in Mount Kisco, NY.

Be sure to check out KicksBySammy’s 2018 Purple Power collection this coming November.
